This is the second year of our Working With My Family Day, a project designed to support and facilitate our employees’ work-life balance during a period, like the run up to the start of school, when balancing work and private life is even more complex and challenging.

We were inspired by the now widely known “Take Your Child to Work Day” to create our own format that allows our employees’ children and grandchildren to get into the thick of things of the company and its peculiar production process. Given the success of the first edition, which took place in September last year, we decided to relaunch the initiative, adding a touch of Atelier Stimamiglio: that’s how Working With My Family Day has come alive.

This year, our Working With My Family Day engaged more than 40 children and teens aged 2 to 25, who spent the entire day exploring the various company departments, gaining first-hand insight into the work of their loved ones through a program of activities specifically organized for the occasion.

Our little guests worked actively to create their own piece of clothing, practicing every step of the production process: after designing and creating the paper pattern, they created t-shirts, skirts, sweatshirts, and dresses. Each piece was made to measure and customized with colors, patches, and rhinestones, before being worn in a final fashion show worthy of the most acclaimed Fashion Week.

Have they been helped? Of course, by their parents, uncles, and colleagues, who were swept away by the enthusiasm of a day unlike any other.

Amidst the customizations and fittings, there were plenty of snack breaks and outdoor games, a lunch break all together and a final moment to capture this amazing day on film.

Pure joy for living against the shadows of everyday life.
